Parking & Welcome

Free parking is available right around the building at 212 Clay St. You'll be greeted at the door — look for a friendly face with a smile. No need to sign in or fill out anything to attend.

🍳
8:45 AM
Breakfast Fellowship

Grab a plate and meet your neighbors. Breakfast is completely free and open to everyone — it's one of the best ways to meet people before the service starts.

📖
9:30 AM
Sunday School

Adults gather for in-depth Bible study and discussion. Kids have their own age-appropriate classes running at the same time. Totally optional — you can come just for the worship service if you prefer.

🎵
10:45 AM
Worship Service Begins

We open with congregational worship music, then our pastor delivers a message straight from Scripture. Services typically run 60–70 minutes. Nursery is available for little ones throughout.

After Service
Stay & Connect

Stick around after the service — this is when the real community happens. Our church loves meeting first-time guests, and there's no pressure to commit to anything. Just come as you are.

What to expect
👕
Dress Code

Come as you are — jeans, boots, a dress, a suit. We care far more about your presence than your outfit.

🎶
Music & Worship

We sing a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. You're welcome to sing, stand, sit, or just listen — worship looks different for everyone and that's okay.

📋
Sermon Style

Our pastor preaches straight from the Bible. Bring your own Bible or use one of ours — pew Bibles are available.

💰
Offering

An offering plate is passed during the service. We believe giving is a way to worship God with generosity — but there is absolutely no expectation for you to give.

🤝
Friendliness

Gordon is a small community — people here genuinely know each other. You will likely be greeted by name by your second visit. We take hospitality seriously because Jesus did.

Accessibility

Our building is accessible and we're happy to assist anyone with special needs. If you need to give us any further instructions or ask questions, please call us ahead of your visit at 254.693.5586 so we can make sure everything is ready for you.

Your kids will
love it here

We believe children are a full part of the church body — not just a side ministry. Every program for kids is led by trusted, background-checked volunteers who love Jesus and love children. Kids are safe, engaged, and growing here.

Things people
always ask
Not at all. We welcome everyone regardless of background, denomination, or where you are in your faith journey. Whether you grew up in church, haven't been in years, or have never attended before — you are genuinely welcome here.
No. We know first-time visitors sometimes worry about being asked to stand up or introduce themselves. We do our best to make sure guests feel comfortable, not pressured. You're welcome to simply sit, observe, and worship quietly.
Yes. Breakfast, Sunday School, worship services, Wednesday night meals, children's programs, VBS — all of it is completely free. We never want the cost of a meal or a program to be a reason someone doesn't come.
When you walk in, a greeter will help direct you to the nursery or Christ Kids check-in area. Our children's workers will get your little ones settled so you can enjoy the service with peace of mind. All children's workers are background-checked.
We primarily preach from the English Standard Version (ESV), but you can bring your own Bible translation so you can read it without any problem.
The best way is to just talk to one of our pastors or staff after a service — they love meeting new people. You can also explore ministries at fbcgordon.org/ministries or reach us by phone or email anytime. There's no pressure to jump in until you're ready.
Absolutely. We livestream our Sunday services on YouTube. Search FBC Gordon on YouTube or visit fbcgordon.org/livestream. It's a great way to get a feel for who we are before your first visit.
